Funky DC covered welly boots

Here's my lovely DC welly boots that I created one rainy afternoon. After deciding that my much loved, yet dull, welly boots needed some revamping I decided to test my decopatch skills! I picked up a couple of DC comics, Harley Quinn ones (and don't worry, I checked that they weren't collectables or anything, tbh they were ones no one would ever want) and started to get to work. The comic I chose had my two favourite female Batman villains, one obviously Harley Quinn , and the other being Poison Ivy. I'm really pleased with the outcome, I decided not to cover the cute little white bows on the boots as I thought these would stand out better against the comic on the rest of the boot. As for being water proof they do the job quite nicely, just used a fair few layers of the decopatch glue. Now whenever I have to step out in the rain, I have my funky, unique DC welly boots to do so!

Chic chest of drawers

Finally my chest of drawers that I have jazzed up using good old decopatch! Used a white based floral patterned paper in order to keep with my chic theme running though my bedroom. I'm massively pleased by their owncome and can't wait to start the matching wardrobe!

My own little frame for me

Here's just a little something I made for myself  with some left over paper I had, really should order some more! Been thinking about other things I could decopatch, got some birthdays coming up and going to try out a few ideas then.

Decopatch mirror

This one was really just a starter with decopatch. Found some really beautiful papers to use and thought my mirror needed a bit of life. Happy with the outcome, thinking of using some gold 3D paint to make it stand out just a little bit more.

Marvel photo frame

Made this one of a kind photo frame for my lovely fiancé a while back, and he loves it :) difficult to find a frame in town that doesn't have bits and pieces on it that would ruin the paper. Just used good old wrapping paper for this one and it did the job perfectly, was even asked to make one for his friend which I happily accepted.

First post!

This blog is dedicated to my love of decopatch as a hobby :) anything I can get my hands on I'll decopatch, boxes, chairs, wellies, anything! I love to throw myself into the deep end and see what I come up with :) at the moment I am in love with my decopatch wellies, by using just average decopatch glue and a few old comics I found in my local comic book shop. Not worried about water ruining these as the glue is waterproof, tbh I could just add a coat of outdoor waterproof sealer if it starts to worry me :) used the characters Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy as they are my favourite female characters in the world of DC. Have also managed to get hold of an old copy of Hush to use on some furniture for when I move, happy me!
